Painstaking work

These hand-dyed hemp teatowels are weaved with hand looms.

Hand-woven cushions, in a range recalling the warm colours of spice.

Roots and trunks are hand carved by artists/craftsmen of the island of Java to make bowls, trays and original sculptures, that hint at something primitive: to give a taste of far away places and times to the spaces you live in.

These materials are typically used in eastern cultures, they are carefully and painstakingly worked by local craftsmen to confer special effects.
There is the pantry cupboard in mahogany with hand carved decorations that provides a delicate graffiti effect. There are the arabesque style table lamps with a shade in hand-woven loofa, a sponge that is the fruit of a plant similar to a courgette: it is dried and hardened before it is shaped.
