COIN in Padua was a particularly successful stop for us because it is my daughter’s favorite department store. Whenever we see a COIN while traveling in Italy, she likes to have a look, and this Padua location definitely didn’t disappoint. We visited during the summer sale, and the selection of discounted items was impressive. My daughter found lots of interesting bags and jewelry, and we were honestly surprised by some of the prices. One of our best finds were bags for just €5, which felt like an incredible bargain. We also found some really nice summer earrings, which were perfect little holiday purchases. What I like about COIN is that you can spend quite a bit of time browsing because there is a broad selection of fashion and accessories. Even if you’re not looking for anything specific, it’s worth checking the sale sections—you never know what you might find. Another practical advantage, especially when you’re spending several hours sightseeing and shopping in Padua, is that there are public toilets on the top floor. They were clean, well maintained and free to use, which is a surprisingly useful detail when you’re exploring a city with family. We appreciated being able to use a clean restroom without having to buy something or pay an additional fee. For us, the shopping experience was particularly enjoyable because we weren’t looking for expensive designer pieces. We were simply looking for nice, wearable items at good prices, and the summer sale delivered exactly that. My daughter was especially happy with the selection, and finding several pieces at such low prices made the visit even more worthwhile.
